First, no we don't think you are morons, so instead of sending us emails about us calling you morons, go see if you can find a sense of humor.
We've made the above adjustment to the headline for those of you that can't read more than just headlines. The WSOBP™ has not been cancelled, but if you have not fully signed up (paid in full, chosen your teammate, selected your roommate, and created a team profile), you are in severe danger of NOT being able to play. <--more-->
We are not trying to be dicks about this, but think about it - we're planning for roughly 500 people to compete in somewhere around 2,000 games of pong over three days. This is not easy, and by doing it last minute, we will not sleep (and we aren't sleeping as it is).
Thus, one of these days we may snap and just say, "Okay, that's it. If you aren't paid in full, too bad." We are trying to accommodate every last personal, individual request you guys are making, but you are putting one hell of a burden on us.
PLEASE, we beg you - pay your shit, sign the fuck up, and read more than headlines.
Or it will be for you if you don't complete your sign-ups - your spot in the event will be forfeited! (The WSOBP II has not actually been canceled.)
PLAYERS: There are still a lot of you who have not completed your sign-ups. If you have not paid in full, or have not created your team profile, you risk forfeiting your spot in the WSOBP II! We cannot hold sign-ups open indefinitely, and believe us, we're not going to enjoy turning you away because you didn't complete your sign-up. <--more--> You cannot show up in Mesquite on January 1st and sign-up then-- you must complete your team's sign up now!
To see if you are fully registered, log in to BPONG.COM and go to the Member Control Panel. If you do not remember your password or username you can retrieve it here. From there you must: (1) pay remaining balance (2) select teammate, (3) select roommate, and (4) create team profile (this is not optional).
Once you see your team on the WSOBP II Team Listing, you know you are good.
GETTING TO MESQUITE: If you are trying to figure out how to get from the airport to Mesquite, we've got you covered. Red Eye breaks, a WSOBP II sponsor, has taken it upon themselves to help you guys get from Point A to Point B. They'll even get you guys limos if you want em. Just fill out the online form and Red Eye will contact you with more information.
Teams that have entered The World Series of Beer Pong™ II can now create team profiles, which include a team name, team pic, and team description. And something may taste like piss - at least that may be the case if The Golden Showers follow through and piss all over their opponents. If that wasn't enough, we have no clue what "The Mudbutts" means, but when the team members refer to themselves as "Splatterpants" and "Steamyshorts," something tells us we may need to hand out diapers in the player packets this year. <--more-->
Although only a fraction of the teams have created profiles so far, there seems to be a thing for brothers so far. Janesvegas are coming straight out of Janesville, Wisconsin (yet one resides in Lauderdale and the other in Madision, WI, so we're not quite sure how they are coming straight out of Janesville), and these guys have an adorable little picture of themselves as kids - one in his Cub Scout uniform and the other in his Boy Scout uniform. We'll have to see if either of these guys are worthy of a Beer Pong Merit Badge (or a check for $20,000). Also, The Brothers Flood appear to be brothers, and it's great to see that beer pong is bringing them together (one from Florida and the other from Pennsylvania).
We've also seen a lot of WSOBP I veterans signing up, and two have already created team profiles: (1) Zack & Screech (Nutty Irishman Champions) (3rd place at The WSOBP I); and (2) Supreme Clientele straight out of New Hampshire (9th place at The WSOBP I).
If you're coming in January, get your team profile up ASAP - we need your team names so we can start doing some scheduling. Note that in order to create a profile, you must pay in full and select your roommate. Why? The room block we have for the casinos releases all free rooms from the room block on December 1. Most likely, the casino will not run out of rooms, BUT the sooner we get you locked in, (1) we know you'll have a room, and (2) we're trying to get everybody as close to the venue as possible.
For now, we're out. Time to get back to work and start shopping for rain coats and nose plugs.
We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting Bing Bong to get more tables in stock. Thus, we come bringing news. Read on . . .
Not only will the new Bing Bong tables get here in mid- to late-November, the brand-spankin' new Bing Bong tables BPONG style will be here. Check <--more-->out the Merchandise Page now because you've got to see these bad boys.
First, the arrival: the tables are supposed to arrive and thus should start shipping the week of November 22. Now, the disclaimer: if they don't get here by then, we can't ship one by then. We have been told, however, that this date is pretty solid, so let's all hope for the best.
The Preorder: Once these bad boys get here, they will retail for $139.99 (we think). We're currently selling them for $129.99 up and until they begin shipping. Thus, preorder yours today, save a few bucks, and your new table will ship out the day they get to us.
That's it for now regarding tables, but we're psyched to be adding this product to our product line, and we're sure you'll love these as much as we do.
In some other notes, the WSOBP satellite tournaments have been kicking ass, and bars have been throwing out some teams that all claim to already have their name on the twenty large. Too bad there will only be one World Champion come January and we'll only be making one payment for $20,000.
Got to get back to it, but keep checking back. We'll have some new products in a month or two, and we're working on some sweet new shirts, so stay tuned.
Many of you probably know of Jim Birdsall. He did the voiceovers for the NFL Films. What you may not know, however, is that he is now officially the shit – he narrated The Greatest Game Ever Played, a tribute to the greatest game ever played (beer pong/Beirut/Lebanon, obviously). Be sure to check out this clip. Special thanks to Mike and Tim with Gametime Entertainment (USC students) for the BPONG plugs!
Leagues: There are some well developed pong leagues out there, but we’ve been finding that many of them don’t know of each other, so we figured how the hell would you know about some of them? We’ve started a section in our forums for these leagues to get out there and get known. The leagues are using our forums as a springboard to get their names out there. Be sure to check it out to get to learn about the leagues, their players, and their events. Also feel free to jump in and ask questions for the other league members to answer. We have a feeling that we’ll be seeing some killer pong competition from out of some of these leagues at The World Series of Beer Pong,™ so use these forums to start scoping out the competition – so far, nobody has been shy about how great they really are (but can they back it up?).
New Shirts: Well, they aren’t that new, but I don’t think we ever mentioned them on the front page before. After several demands, we finally printed up our popular black beer pong shirt design on a white shirt. Check them out on our merchandise page.
That’s it for now – keep checking back, though: more is always on the way.
Ho-leeee shit, you might be saying. Yeah, we pimped our ride. It was about freaking time.
We are proud to announce that WSOBP II signups are officially UNDERWAY! This year we're allowing players to reserve their spots with a $100 deposit,
so get in there before we're all filled up!
These updates are coming at you quick and dirty in rapid succession, much like your rapid attempts to remove a pube from your pong ball. Therefore, bear with the brevity, but we're working on too much behind the scenes to go into too much detail.
(1) Tables: BPONG.COM has come to agreement with Bing Bong, Inc, and we will again be using Bing Bong tables at The World Series of Beer Pong II.™ These tables fold up in a neat little box and boast an 8' length, 2' girth, and ride 29" high. BPONG.COM is now selling these bad boys (along with the 7' counterpart for those scared of getting one too big), so order yours today.
(2) Girls' Shirts: Yet another thing long over due, we started selling a phat shirt for all the lady pong fans out there. While it's still debatable as to whether girls should even be playing the game (chill, we're joking!), one thing's for sure - every cute girl needs one of these shirts.
(3) 2006 Sports Travel Awards: Vote it up! SportsTravel Magazine is taking votes for this past year's best "NEW Sporting Events." We'd love your support in getting recognition for The World Series of Beer Pong.™ Not only does it help us out, it helps show the world that beer pong is indeed a sport. Here's what you need to do: (a) visit SportTravel's site; (b) scroll to the bottom to "NEW Sporting Events" (or use PageDown if you prefer); (c) type "The World Series of Beer Pong" in the first blank; (d) "Submit Ballot"; and (e) tell all your friends to do the same. Don't delay! The deadline is July 15, 2006.
(4) CurrentTV Covers The WSOBP I: For all those fans that like to see pong on TV, check out CurrentTV for the segment covering The World Series of Beer Pong.™ If you'd rather be out playing pong instead of sitting in front of your TV for it to come on, just view it from CurrentTV's site.
(5) WSOBP I T-Shirts: We still have a few shirts left from the WSOBP I. They are limited edition and they are all size mediums. If you are interested in one, please email us (use Contact page on BPONG.COM). We will be asking $25.00 for them (these sold at the event for $20.00, and the extra $5.00 will cover shipping and handling). No more of these will ever be printed, so this is your last chance to score a phat WSOBP I t-shirt.
After one hell of an event this past January, you’d better believe that BPONG.COM is bringing you The World Series of Beer Pong™ II. We’re making it bigger and upping the stakes to $20,000. We are still putting together all of the pieces, so we cannot give you any additional details - we don't have them yet. Be sure to keep checking back for the latest information as it becomes available.
Signups will begin sometime during the summer of 2006, and we are hoping to start taking pre-registrations/registrations in June. When signups have begun, BPONG.COM will be the place to be.
In the meantime, and while you're here be sure to check out our new WSOBP II promo video: WMV - MOV low - MOV high.

It's been a while since I've written anything here, but it doesn't mean we have not been busy. We are already planning The WSOBP II (hint: the dates will be similar to those of The WSOBP I, perhaps a day earlier), and we have been working on many other things that are taking a ton of time to finalize.
As such, we have not had a ton of time to update the website. We've been busy shipping orders and putting the pieces together for a lot of new things, which actually leads me to the next thing. If any of you beer pong fans want to help contribute to our work on the site, use the Contact information from the Contact menu and let me know. Please note, however, that if we do decide to use help from anybody, we are really only looking for people with strong design and web design skills (CSS/XHTML). While we are at it, if any of you have any phat ideas for t-shirts, let me know. We are especially interested in getting a line of shirts for girls, and we'll definitely throw some cash your way if we really like what you come up with.
There are a ton of other things I could say here, but I've got to go throw some of your orders together and get them out the door.
We've got a couple things for ya today: First, we have the WSOBP Collage! It covers all four days of the tournament, and if you were there, chances are you're somewhere in that thing. So be sure to check it out. All the photos have captions that you should see when you move your mouse over the image. There are a lot of you whose name or team we didn't know, so if you see a picture with a caption that says "we don't know who you are", click that photo to email us. Be sure to have your mouse over the correct photo when you click it. Also, if you don't have Javascript enabled, the captions won't work.
Second, we got your bragging rights right here! The full statistics from the WSOBP, and I think you guys are really going to like them. We've got everything from a state-by-state breakdown to profiles for the top 32 teams, to a clickable finals bracket that traces each teams progress through the tournament. And of course, for the record, we have the final standings of each team. If you prefer, you can look at all the stats on one page. Definitely worth checking out. We recommend starting with the bracket.
