With only three months until The World Series of Beer Pong, players everywhere are doing everything they can to get ready. With weekly events and WSOBP Satellite Tournaments happening all over the country, there are loads of opportunities to stay in peak playing condition. However, even playing beer pong every night can’t prepare players for the intensity of playing on the world’s largest stage. The WSOBP has thousands of spectactors, lights, cameras, and all the prestige that comes with winning the world’s largest beer pong tournament.  In the words of WSOBP II champ Antonio ‘Tone’ Vasilatos: “You can’t practice that sh*t”.

Enter the East Coast Beer Pong Championship (ECBPC).  “Since the day after Beast of the East, people have been asking us when the next event would be, suggesting we have a big event this fall.  We just want to bring the people what they want.  With the help of many of the league coordinators here on the East Coast we have confidence in making the ECBPC a huge success,” said Garrett Lang, co-founder of EastCoastBeerPong.com.  “This event is about community.”

The ECBPC, to be held at the Laurel Racetrack, located strategically between Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC , is offering a minimum of $5,000 in guaranteed prize money (with the possibility of a much larger purse with more teams) , and two full days of beer pong madness. The event will be held from Oct 23rd through 24th. With 8 games of pool play followed by finals, it’s the closest thing you’ll find to the craziness of the WSOBP.

This event is sponsored by BPONG.COM, the center of the beer pong universe, who will be sending WSOBP Co-Founders Billy and Skinny out to participate. “The event is just what the East Coast needs this fall: a great competition with tons of fun, and an opportunity for me and Skinny to wear really tight shirts,” says Billy.

Entry into the event is only $75 per person ($150 per team) for Early Registration, which ends at 11:59PM on Thursday, September 23rd. After that, the price jumps to $100 per person, so players are encouraged to reserve their spot NOW. Players can register even if they don’t know who their partner is, as long as they know who their partner will be by the registration deadline of Sunday, October 17th. For those needing hotel rooms, blocks of rooms have been reserved near the racetrack for only $69.99/night.
