  • Congrats to Farley and the NJ War Machine for pulling out the victory in a tough final series against Long Island 2009 Beast of the East Champs! After Kessler and Deeps series victory over Getcha Popcorn Ready, and the reunited Outsiders victory over Defo and Donde, Not Even Close sealed the deal and the title with a victory over Diez and Basile. Ron couldn't make the trip - he thought the tourney was next week lol

Props to Mike and Garrett for running a hell of a tournament, very organized, efficient, and a great time. Props to Zach G for shooting back to back perfect games and repping Midwest strong, unfortunately they couldn't pull out a series victory vs. the Long Island squad and came up short.

    Next BOE in September??? lol

  • The tournament was run very well. Considering the amount of people crammed into one area, I don't think things could have run any better minus the event starting on time. I was really hoping for something to give Mike Wodshed and Garrett shit about but I'd have to say it was a job well done.

The weather was beautiful and it was nice being able to go outside for some fresh air every now and then.

I will say that the place itself was grossly understaffed and featured some of the worst service I've ever experienced.

  • Congrats to the New Jersey War Machine and all the rest of the squads. Everyone played great and it could have gone any way with the level of talent present.  Thank you for all the kind words. Mike and I were very happy with how the event went. I wasn't at the BOE last year so I had no idea how poorly laid out the bar was so I personally would like to at least look for a new venue for next year.

As for a second BOE in the fall, I am not opposed to it now that we have a system setup to easily be able to run the event, but would you guys really rather have a second one, rather than a tournament formatted like the first BOE was...just a big 2on2 tournament with a high payout...?

If we did a $125 a team tournament and had 80 teams, we would be looking at a 10k tournament....
