Back to the original idea.  What is most important at this point is getting more players and getting those players to stick around.  A "call your cup" rule would counteract both of those objectives.

Ya i understand. How about for the future?? I know now wouldn't be the best time but when BP gets bigger do you think it could work??
    future.

What might work is if the WSOBP became more like the WSOP where there are several different styles of tournaments players may participate in.  The WSOP has something like 30 tournaments (albeit over the course of a month).  This could be an interesting idea for
Right now, this would absolutely not work.  It would scare away the vast majority of players from smaller local tournaments.  This would lead to a decrease in overall interest in the BSD to consider.  It allows players to play in more tournaments and could really promote the growth of the sport.  The downside at this point is that BSD already have a lot on their plate with just the main event itself.

And also, it is kind of fucked up that you would come on  here and rip Fraser for no reason when you don't know him.  You should wise up.

Which fraser?? lol. But ya that was my bad. Ill man up and admit my wrong here. I was an ass for no reason and my apologies to both frasers.

And i get what you are saying. I think this thread should be remade in about 5 years or so lol. I got it tho. Right now its no bueno. But it could have potential in the future Well

  • The nightly tournaments are 5 bucks. They are to get new people and let people know about the satellites. Most are doubles, but there is a singles at whiskey river (32nd street and greenway) on thursday nights.

Satellites are 15 pre pay or pre register and 20 at the door. Chris gracia runs them and I'll tell to post something on here.

Grrr.... Cant wait to be 21 lol. And im assuming the tilted kilt you are talking about is the one down the street from skybox. Which yes they are hella far away haha. But i would probably still try to come and play as much as i could. AT LEAST 2-4 times a month out there. Hopefully more bp pops up in tempe area. If the rocky point cantina is still weekly in tempe after december ill probably be there every week if i can. Looking forward to playing tho!! AND BEATING YOU!!! lol jk. but hopefully haha

  • lol thats cool im always up to new challenges! lol we keep trying to get more going on in tempe but so many people play in their dorms and apartments and houses that they dont like to come out and pay to play rules they aren't familiar with, hopefully that will change soon because ASU is a huge campus and everyone on campus loves to play BP we just have to get them interested in the "pro series"

Sorry if this has been posted before... Ill make this short and not ramble... Im gonna say that this rule should be added to major tourneys. You have to call your cup and hit it or it doesn't count. Some people see this game as luck. This will make the game based more on skill and less on luck. What are the pros and cons of this?? Can it work or not??

i agree this is the way i play anyway for the same reasons...ppl think its by luck.
