  • I practice with nothing but water now because if I played with beer in the cups every night for practice, it would get expensive, and i have a kegerator so it's not too bad going for me but if you were goin by the case, forget it, it'll get expensive.

Also, while a lot of drinking seems like not a bad idea, you need to give your body time to recover.  Honestly, the best practice anyone can do is not to play in your houses against your friends, but to play in as many tournaments as possible, win or lose.  Nothing can match the atmosphere and pressure of playing in one, no matter how large or small.  I know it's something you probably can't afford to do now, but it really is the best preparation for the WSOB.

  • Yeah that is so true, but i cant even get into bars yet. The closest thing to tourneys is every saturday night all the neighborhood kids come to my house to play. Were all broke so we play for pride barley able to afford beer lol.

  • Nice method Dub, some of the bars in Charlotte that have tables setup always have cups that are different sizes and I'm used to playing on different sized cups all the time. Just makes for great practice.

I like to shoot around with different cup formations, mainly 1 cup - 2 cup - 4 cup just to get my shot down with those.

  • AHAHAH, yeah it was a decent turnout but clearly the better team came out on top! We will meet up in Vegas and see how it goes this time. Chances are we go to The Woodshed again, maybe if I play you one on one and beat you I will gain some respect...
