Hey peter - contact us when you get your info together on when the meetings are and such - a point you can add to your list is the business that having these events is business that these bar owners would not get and in crappy economy america the bar owners should be on your team as well to help lobby against this.

Plus  you can always toss out that a national beer pong company (aka PORTOPONG) holds business offices in Hunting Beach with 1000's of inflatable beer pong tables in inventory inside their city limits that we pay rent on. Would they include not allowing us to conduct business - would we give our business to another city... ?????

This is why anyone outside our world needs to step back and look at the larger picture and not focus on negatives.

    Cheers!

    Jerry from Team PORTOPONG

The City Council meeting is tonight. You should take all of these comments in your post and go send them to the City Council on the website I posted above. If your concern isn't submitted by 1:30 pm Pacific time, it will not be considered in tonight's meeting.

  • Jennifer-  thanks for looking into that comment form.

I think SCBP will be fine.  The resolution simply states, amongst many other conditions that do not relate to beer pong:
"Games or contests requiring or involving consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited"

Honestly - I'm not sure I'm even against this rule as worded.  It actually gives us more reason to play with water in the cups (whereas before, the main reasons were logistics & liability).

Here in New Mexico, were not allowed to play "drinking games" in the bar either. However, we have been successful in finally getting it into the bar with the water in the cups---that law comes in handy when the douchers come in the bar askin why we dont play with beer in the cups and saying,"this isn't beer pong." I don't know why they would want to have beer in the cups anyway with the mens restroom right next to the tables...nasty fucks
