  • great work guys.....
    Cant wait for this.

It was changed so many times I couldnt remember what the final agreement was.
Are you goin to do 2 seperate pools/conferences?

also what is the decision with playoffs?  Top 8 make it? If so is it top 8 overall or top 4 from each conference?

  • kinda sucks that theres a handful of long island guys that were on the team that won in philly last year who won't get a chance to defend their title because of the cap....i realize its our own fault cause our captain didnt get the money in on time but he was under the assumption that he had talked to you mike and that we still had plenty of time to get you the money because the cap wasnt close to being filled. personally i think we shouldve almost been grandfathered into this tournament automatically because of the fact that 4 or 5 of our guys played and won last year, but even still, i thought this is supposed to be the best of the best. Theres a number of teams on that list that probably arent even gonna compete and we were a team that at the very least couldve knocked off some of the top 4...not to mention there are 1 or 2 teams on that list that werent on the original list of 17 teams that was posted. i realize i sound a little salty but we were all really excited to play in this tournament and attempt to assist in bringing the title back to long island...and now we lost out to some teams that are traveling there to donate 500 for a good time

Why be salty? Mike and Garrett were very clear with their instructions and they've done a great job so far with putting this event together,  it was kinda clear that there were more than 16 teams interested. I personally didnt think it would fill up with 16 squads, but it did. And i dont think you should come out n try calling out other teams on their credibility when the FL kids have a higher priority  on the LI #1 team then u do. (Im not trying to create another discussion about Jason n Twig, b/c im happy that they are playin...just trying to make a point here).

  • well number one i wasn't calling anyone out on their credibility....number two im allowed to be a little upset that the 9 guys on our team who werent responsible for collecting the money to sign us up , who were all really excited to play in this thing, now dont get a chance to cause our captain didnt take care of his end.....number three, i dont think either of you guys even have any idea who i am, but yet ur callin me out anyways...and i don't think either of you are that good to be talking very much at all....once again, im not blaming garrett or mike vit for anything, all the blame is on our captain...all i was saying is that it sucks that we won't get to play in this thing...wen the original beast of the east was at the nutty on long island, i dont recall defo turnin anyone away and tellin them they werent gonna be able to play for watever reason....and i think there were around 90 teams....bottom line is we wanna play, if theres no way to accomodate that then i understand, but my reason for posting was to see if there was anyway to make it happen....so lets chill out on the personal attacks , cause were not 12 anymore....

Did your captain ever ask you for the money? When you saw the deadline approaching, did you and the 9-10 other interested players take any initiative to get things done? Seems like if there are 9-10 people who are really interested and such veteran players than maybe one person could have stepped up and taken charge? I mean, you're not 12 anymore.

Not to be a bitch, but this post is a perfect example why this country is in such a mess. Everyone wants everything to be done for them and when things don't go their way they want exceptions to be made. I'm not a team captain but I knew the deadlines and if I knew something wasn't getting done and it meant that much to me, I personally would have taken a leadership role.

You can blame your captain, but really if you think about it it is YOUR fault your team didn't get signed up, since you could have taken care of it in the event your captain wasn't getting the job done.
