    The problem with this is that each squad completely doesnt play half the squads in prelims...So the only way to make this fair is to either take the top 4 squads in each division into the finals, or open the finals up to all the squads instead of just the top 8 squads.

    Is the tourney going to be single or double elimination?  I'd understand either way.
     
    If it's single elimination, allowing the top 16 into the final tourney would only add 1 game over just allowing the top 8.
     
    I would bet that if people has to choose between:
     
    a.) Play 9 prelim games and maybe not make the final tourney
     
    b.) Play 8 prelim games and definitely make the final tourney

    I guarantee that people would choose b.
    the playoffs are single elim but best of 3
    I also like the idea of making the prelims so meaningful.  I mentioned this in the other thread but if 8 doesnt work they could do 10 and have 2 play in games.

  • Thanks for considering the changes, guys. I knew no one fucking reads anything on here (I was guilty of that this time) and wanted to make sure people understood what the format was set at. It's better to iron out the problems now as opposed to getting there and everyone being pissed about it.
     
    And as far as the eliminating 2 people from your team rumor, SOMEONE TOLD ME THIS WAS HAPPENING, I DIDN'T READ IT ANYWHERE. I apologize for any confusion, that's why I asked for clarification on that. Once again, this is not happening. Everyone needs to take the time and read through the thread.
