  • Initgoes,

I sense a little sarcasm in your post.

I know there was a little discomfort for some WSOBP players to transition to our 'line rule' (similar to darts) instead of the WSOBP 'two feet on the ground rule'.  We have the lines in place for a couple reasons:

    1) Our tables are shorter (only 7.5' long) so the line adds some extra length to the playing field.
    2) We play single-elimination tournaments.  If we allowed people to stand right behind the tables and lean as much as they want, some games would be over in two minutes.  It would just suck to be a team getting eliminated that quickly.  The line makes for a longer shot, and hence a more difficult shot, which ensures the true pros are the ones who move on to the next rounds.

It's no coincidence that 'We Own Your Face', WSOBPII winners... and 'Roc Steady', Bing Bong $5,000 Philly Tournament winners were both in the finals at our last NYC tournament.

As long as the playing field is even for all players, it shouldn't matter how far away from the table you need to stand.  But to answer your question, it's 28", and you can lean as much as you want.

I hope to see you out on Saturday... first place gets $1,000 cash... top two teams get tables to take home, top 4 teams get bar tabs and cash.

i think that dude above is the guy from the world pong federation tryin to be  a wise guy. the foul line is good because it prevents the usual beer pong clowns from reaching half way cross the table

wpf, how is ur 385 city tour going with 3 million in prizes goin?

o also, which wrestling league are ur pongettes in, dam they some thoroughbreds haha
