  • Just to clarify, the pricing for the Bing Bong Philadelphia tournament is $75 per player - $150 per team.

All players signed up before April 1st will receive a free spectator ticket (which will be $12 at the door).  So each team can bring two friends for free, if they sign up soon.

This is an all day event and each team will play at least 4-5 games in the preliminary round.  Then, the top 32 teams will play in a double elimination tournament to determine the winner.

Skill shot competitions will go on throughout the day and the winners each hour will get a Bing Bong Table.  Everyone, including tournament spectators, can compete in the skill shot competition.

There will be 4-7 bands playing throughout the day, and there will be a film playing on a large screen and plasma TVs throughout the venue.

  • I went to your website and it answered most of my questions, the only thing I would like to know is what brand ping pong balls you plan on using.  Also, I suggest you add a rule stating that if a team has not missed a shot, in the final rounds mind you, they get to rebuttal regardless of whether or not there opponents hit the last two cups, or both hit the last one, in the same turn.  The way the rules are set up now the team going second would win if both teams shot perfect games.

  • Hey,

That is a good point about redemption if both teams shoot a perfect game.  Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I will update the rules.

  • One question after reading the rules, are re-racks automatic and in the middle of the turn?

  • Mike, when you do decide what brand/star level ping pong balls you are using please post the info here.  I just want to be able to practice with them beforehand if at all possible.

  • We typically play that a team can re-rack one time per game, when they have either 4,3, or 2 cups left.  It adds a little extra strategy to the game.

So for our tournaments April 29th in Philadelphia and June 8-11th in Jamaica the rule is one re-rack per game, and re-racks cannot be done in mid round.  So, if a team has 4 cups left and one player hits a cup, they remove the cup but cannot re-rack to the 3 cup pyramid until their next turn.

Contact with any questions either in this forum or at tournaments@bingbongtables.com and I'll also post responses here.

    Thanks!

  • We will be using 40mm 2-star quality balls - possibly from BPong - we're still waiting to finalize the details, but they will be the same size and quality as the balls sold on this site.

We will either use BPong cups or 16 oz Solo cups, that is also being decided.

ALSO - please let me know if you have any difficulty with ordering the Philadelphia Tournament tickets on bingbongtables.com.  I had a few errors when I created the item in our store but a few people have succesfully purchased tickets already - so all of the kinks should be worked out.

For the Jamaica tournament, you can make an inquiry and put down a deposit at www.summerbeerpongcup.com

    Thanks,
