Not officially.  However, we will have open tables for practice before the cash tournament begins and I don't see a problem with keeping a couple tables open for a singles tourney.... assuming we have enough players interested in one.  We'll just have to feel it out the day of.

  • Not trying to be a dick  but $40 usually buys me at least a chance at a $1000...what gives, or is this the new tactic in CO.

The $500 was a starting point in case we didn't have enough teams to cover the total.  If we get more than $500 in the pot then the total winnings will also go up - split amongst the top 3 teams (starting with 2nd and 3rd since they were just going to be bar tabs).  The bar isn't keeping any of the pot.  I don't know what else has happened, but here in Colorado Springs we don't screw our pongers!  Well

  • Just a couple reminders.... open tables will be available from 1pm - 3:30pm.  The open tables will be for practice, cash games, possibly a small singles tourney......  The deadline for sign-ups is 3:30pm so make sure and get there early to get your team registered.  Check with the bar for all their drink specials... I know they're going to have some really good deals running all day!

Also, we are still having our weekly tourneys every Wednesday at this bar (Rhinos)... so if you're in the Springs (or don't mind driving from Denver) come check it out.  We've been getting some really good turn outs!
