  • I think i am speaking for about everyone that went to the wsobp and played.  The event is something you can not imagin unless you experience it.  I think it is bullshit that this deleware team can say that is really is not a big deal and that they just didnt have the time to go.  Well news your you boys.....you have not played shit tell you played in the wsobp.  50 tables going at once....people yelling in your ear while you throw.....sorry but if you think that is the same as the tournys you play in then you are wrong.....and congrats you beat the champs....its all about the day and who is hitting cups that day and who isent.....i can assure you that they would beat you 8 out of 10 times on any other day then the night you played them.....and i agree people need to RELAX everyone is human and will lose at times!

  • R-HO is right on.....anyone that says the WSOBP isn't different than any other tourney is obviously mistaken.  Anyone can play beer pong at 11 oclock at night while they are already partying......try goin out all nite wakin up at 9am to come to an arena filled with hundreds of people and play against WORLD CLASS competition.  Until you have experienced that, you don't know shit about pressure!

  • i agree. we went to the wsobp and took 7th, and after that, i cant even be serious for a game around home anymore because it just isnt as exciting. i hardly even try for most games now, still win most of them, but then when i lose, people start celebrating like they won the super bowl. i even had to sign a table once saying that i lost.

unless money is on the line (especially 20 g's) im not gonna get pumped up for a game. the difference between your little leagues or tourneys around the area, is they are very local. the wsobp had the best players from around the US and every game was against the best. there were teams at the world series that probably wiped the floor with people back home and went 3-9 at he world series.

yes everyone is gonna lose a game here and there, but there is no competition like the wsobp, and if you wanna talk a lot of smack about beatin a team who went there, then go compete yourself, see you in january

  • Everyone's saying,  "everyone can lose..."

I know this.  I never denied this.

I RESPONDED to him coming on here and talking shit about ME.  When we won last night, we both stuck our hands out and gave you props.  You guys responded with, "You know we won the WSOBP.  You know we won here 2 weeks in a row."  Then you felt it necessary to come on here and talk shit about a team that rolled you 2 hours earlier.  Is that how you act when you lose?  You should work on that.

When we first beat you we said, "Holy Shit we just beat the Champs by 4 cups"...You take that as talking shit?  You should take that as a sign of respect.

  • At the World Series, to make the top 80 and the third day, we had to beat Team France in the last game of Day 2.

Like Niel said- everyone can be beat, but to play the defending World Series champs with our tournament life on the line heightened the importance of playing well.  They commanded an automatic level of respect (like We Own Your Face does now).  I was pumped to beat Team France in the same way Delaware was to beat We Own Your Face - it just goes with the territory, purely out of respect for your past accomplishments.

And Niel- I know you say that you're beatable - but I've seen you hit 7 for 7 at the biggest stage.  Looking at your World Series I record (undefeated until the tournament) - it seems like that shooting performance wasn't a fluke.  I say you should savor having the target on your head, as it brings out the best competition in everyone.

  • I don't know what was said between you guys and Tone, but the reason I did what i did and said what i said because the first words i heard was shit talking. I didn't see any of you guys sticking out hands to say good game but rather.."you guys are the world champs and we beat you by 4 cups?" How can trying to put another team down a sign of respect? Anyways..it has happened a lot since we've won and I think the frustration came out onto you guys more than anyone else because of the way you acted.  I even talked to one of you guys, shook hands, even told him about other tournaments around the area to go to.  Seemed like a cool guy.  Just know that the WSOBP really is MUCH MUCH different than playing in smaller local tournaments...and just because you beat us does not make you better than us, or any of the other teams that finished well in the world series, which is the vibe i got from you when you did beat us.  If you want to know other nights where we will be playing I'll be more than happy to let you know..

It's because none of us are talking about you.
We're talking about our experiences and beer pong in general.

I will fucking smash u lol put ur money where ur mouth is lol

Hey buddy!  Remember that one time at the World Series of Beer Pong II, when it was the last day of competition, and I believe it was the 3rd round of the Finals, and you and your partner were the only undefeated team left in the entire World Series roster, and then you had the honor of playing the then unknown self-proclaimed Champions of the Beer Pong World, the Double D's, featuring the likes of the Daddy, and your Humble King of the World, The Don, and you played in that corner with all of your NY Alliance comrades who had already been eliminated from the WSOBP II, rooting and cheering you on as they as well as your team knew you would "smash" the Double D's and head to the 20 G's, only to get smouldered like rapscallion foes when the Don caught your airball on your lasat attempt and said to you, "This is the one im gonna end you with Smashing Time!" and then on his very next throw, with that very same ball, he sank the final cup giving his team the 5 cup victory?

Yeah, shit talking is so part of the game!

    But so is respect!
We've had our conversations after the fact, and everyone knows, some games, you're on, and some games, you're DONE for!

Personally, I just love the competition and the level of intensity I experienced at the WSOBP!
Like everyone said, you truly haven't experienced Beer Pong, until you've been in the World Series.
Can't wait ti the trilogy is complete!

  • Hey Delaware13, I live in Wilmington and I came in 9th at the World Series of Beer Pong II so if you feel like playin, let me know.  I too get the same shit now when i say I was at the WSOB and if people beat me they go crazy.  Like everyone said on here you haven't experienced pressure until you have 50 games going at once and people yelling and screaming at the same time.  We had one game where we were the last two teams to finish (I know, I feel ashamed) and it was between us and a San Francisco team (I forget their name).  Anyhow, they had about two hundred people yelling at us in our ears rooting against us and we still won. (we were the Foul Mouthed Whores by the way)  Plus one game never means anything.  I always tell people, let's play a best of 7 series and then maybe you can talk some shit.  Anyhow Delaware13, if you're up for playin, e-mail me at juzam139@yahoo.com.  Aniello, I look forward to hopefully playin you and Tone at the NY tourney.

  • ^^^ We went to school at UD, we don't live in Delaware anymore...

You ever play at UD?  Me and my boy were ranked #1 and #3 respectively in the pong circles at UD.  I've been back up here for a year now and personally I think the competition is better down there...Might just be the whole "college drinking every night" thing...Can't remember if any of the Wilmington bars had pong, do they?

Some real suckers down there though, we made about $500 a weekend playing ppl for money...Not enough played for money though, college kids are broke.
