one ball in a 1-on-1 game I feel screws up the rythem.

Id prefer keeping it exactly the way the current rules are which the majority of the people I play use or doing 2 balls no rollbacks.

If you ask me, you don't want people getting in a "rythm" and hitting a hot streak during a 1vs.1 game. Plus that second shot is much easier to hit if you miss the first one since you can adjust. Also, I bet those probabilities would favor the player who shoots first more if you get two balls.

We all play 1v1 with the same WSOBP rules where u could hit max 3 shots in one turn....but personally i really like the 1 ball better as well. There is more pressure if someones hot and picking u off 1 cup at a time instead of u bein able to think ull hit 3 next time the person misses

  • I think one thing that exists right now is: people are used to have a max of 3 per turn, and they are therefore 'comfortable' with having that in singles. But I think the nature of Single's is different, and if people were to get used to shooting one ball, it would better. I completely agree with Wianek that the second shot is easier than the first, because of that rhythm. Since you don't have that Rhythm in doubles, I feel you shouldnt have it in Singles....

  • The bad part is if your up 3 or more cups it very difficult to come back from.  Esp without the rollback being in play which helps make up ground when your down.

Thats the thing that makes the one ball better...ya gotta make sure not to fall behind.

And its more realistic to a doubles where if u or ur partner r off ull end up only getting one ball per turn ya kno

  • AHH MANN ... I dont know I'm just thinking if its not broke why fix it.  Just about everyone I play with ( 90 percent of them are world series regulars )  all use the same rules which are the regular WSBP rules.

It's not a matter of broken or fixed...the rules dont exist yet, because we haven't held an official BPONG-sanctioned Singles Tourney. So....we're trying to set them up....

  • I don't think anything substantial is added by taking it down to 1, and I don't think anything substantial is maintained by keeping it at 2 with a max of 3.

There are some variations but I think the 1v1 tourney would be fine either way.

  • Can we do 0 reracks till the last cup?  If u want 2 see skill then I think 0 reracks would eliminate the "lucky shots/bad teams" and the best team/man would win!

  • I have been doing singles tournys for a long time now and used the 2 balls with a roll back it helps games go at a faster pace which is great for when a bar closes at 2 am and no later. also we still get new players that think they are "the greatest at beer PONG" or better yet " the beer PONG champ" lol, and thier games against other players that arent that great could take forever!
If the rules were to change and we have any say 1 ball with 1 rollback would be an ideal change.... but I would rather see left  as it is. Take your 2 balls and get 1 for the roll back!
