  • Team members throw at the same time and make it in the same cup? ? ?

    What's the call?

    OR OR OR

One team member makes a cup, the other team tries to remove the cup, and the second shot goes in the same cup as soon as the 1st cup is lifted of the table?

  • They don't play that way at the WSOBP. The rule you're referring to is a stupid party rule that no organized beer pong tournament ever adheres to.

  • I agree with you jeffbarnes, it is a stupid party rule and should not be embraced

  • I don't see any rule in the rule book saying you have to shoot one at a time, Me and my partner shoot at the same time all the time.

  • here on long island its called an A-bomb, or double bag...agreed its a stupid party rule..any tourney that would allow that is retarded..no one wants to pay their entry money into a tourney to have a chance at losing on the first shot if someone is coward enough to do that..play the game..hit cups..if your the one shooting at the same time ur obviously not confident that you will hit all their cups before they hit yours

  • For the reason defo stated, we do not have this rule at our event, but the rule certainly exists at other places.  When we drafted the rules for The WSOBP, we attempted to make sure people got to play pong and not lose because of anything other than a lack of skill.

You're probably right - I don't think the rules say you can't shoot at the same time, but if you hit a cup that is already hit, you don't get anything out of it but a lost shot.

  • Thank you billy

Every one assumed that I was meaning "Game Over", which I agree is super stupid. But I wasn't meaning that, I was curious if it counted as one cup or two, and if you would get a roll back?[/quote]

well, we probably assumed that you meant game over, because that's what most people do when they play that rule. you probably assumed to get a better reaction from the forum. i would assume it would be best to practice with your partner taking one shot at a time, because i'm assuming if you pull that shit at the WSOBP people are going to clown you.
