  • Do you have to register online before hand?  I don't think my parnter wants to paricipate in this event.  I was hoping to meet someone in Vegas that would be interested in playing with me.

    i'm pretty sure this event will sell out quickly. there are already 21 west coast teams registered. peter or austin, how many teams are you capping this tournament at? so you have any details on the beer specials?

    So far I think we've got about 25 teams per side so far.

    I think we're going to cap it at 128 teams, 64 per coast.

"tall dark an handsome"...u doin the same concept as beast of the east? where u dont play ur own coast first round? or are u doin basically 2 separate tourneys like 64 team tourney for the east an the same thing for the west an the winner of each coast plays eachother in the finals? also email me ur number so i know how to get in touch with u down there  -mywayorn0way@aol.com-

    I'm still formalizing things for the exact tournament structure but here's what we're thinking...
     
    The tournament will be double elimination.
    In the first round, we'll randomly match-up teams versus the other coast.
    After each round, teams are re-seeded based on number of losses followed by cup spread.
    The highest seeded teams from one coast will play the lowest seeded from the other.
    If there are an uneven number of teams on one side, the lowest seeded teams from that side will play each other.
    This will go on until there's a champion.
     
    We wanted to do it this way to maximize the number of east vs. west matches while maintaining double elimination.
