was it 550 a person or a team?

Also, if you buy in, do you get the hotel room with it (like the satellite winners)?

If not, I still don't understand how there's only 44K in the account....

maybe they're subtracting the debt from last year

    We're not.

    just a thought.......

dont know if there would be enough time for this but after day 2 it is cut down to 128 teams to play for the $50K.... this year there was 414 teams i think so that left 286 teams out starting day 3..... maybe there could be another tourny held for just those people that got knocked out or whoever out of those teams that wanted to play, say $50 a team and just pay the winners back their $500 each..... i mean that would be 286 x $50=$14,300, give them their $1000, and yall have made an extra $13,300

just a thought though, i really doubt there would be enough time for this but maybe.....

We wanted to do something like this this year - we actually talked about doing it daily for people not in The WSOBP, nightly for anybody, and then once or twice more on the final day of the tournament for those not in the finals.  Ultimately, we ran out of time and decided it was too much for this year.  With some critical pieces already falling into place for V, though, I am confident we'll be able to pull a lot more together for V.

wait, what does 65th place get?

We should have a tournament to decide who the true 65th place team is.

All 32 of the "tied for 65th place" teams have to duke it out for the title!

i like it! alot of good teams at 65th too.  we could run it in reno this summer. call it the wsobp 65th place summer games.  heh

The winner ends up being equivalent to the play in game winner in the NCAA tourney?  You fight for the right to play the #1 overall seed in the tourney?  LOL
