    Post subject: Can you carry on your bpong table?

  • have any of you guys ever carried on your bpong table? will it fit in the overhead compartment? In the past 2 years we have always checked our table, but becasue of all the bullshit new rules where you have to pay for each checked bag I dont want to spend an extra 50 bucks on checking the damn thing. I need to know if it will fit on the plane if I carry it on? I remember last year It seemed like it would but I have never actually tried. any input? Thanks Guys

    i dont know personally but im pretty sure u have to put it in a box and send it as cargo

  • it is doable if u want to bring it with u but it cant be a carry on. u can either put it in the box and it comes out with luggage. or just wrap it in clear plastic with ur name on it. last year i saw like 5 tables come out of the luggage carousel and every1 was wondering wtf it was lol

  • my team has taken a table every year..
     
    you have to classify it as normal luggage, and it won't be ensureable because cardboard boxes ..etc don't have the same strength as luggage intended to be thrown around like a hot potatoe by baggage handlers.
     
    never had a problem with a table being broken or dented though.. it's always made it to the other side for us

    Besides the box it came in, which mine is now all fucked up with beer stains, where did you get the box to check it in?

    I saw one guy tape 2 pieces of cardboard to either side and ship it that way though.

  • I took my table to WSOBP II and all i had to do was run packaging tape around it so it would'nt open up or anything.

  • yeah, i've flown with mine 4 times and never wrapped it with anything, just folded it up and put a luggage tag on the handles. i'm not paying $50 to check one though. I'm not bringing anything i can't fit in a carry on.
