Yeah.  This first satellite in Phoenix (at the Sets) played by the prelim rules, so there were no rebuddles or overtime.  Kind of sucked.

Especially when both teams are down to 3 cups and the first team hits their first 2, gets the ball back and drills the last one.  You were tied, now it's over with no chance to counter.  That happened to us.  I am sure this happens to a lot of people when there is no OT.  Sucks to be on the losing end when you dont get a chance to answer.

Sounds awful.... tournaments should never NOT have overtime.  Doing so for pool play when you have 12 total games is one thing, but people hosting tournaments should be using the final day rules.

  • Same here in the Boston area, you sink last cup, game over. Not to mention back in the beginning before a rule change it was shoot till you miss for EVERY shot. Hence a team could hit 6 in a row game over, while the other team has no shot. That rule has since been..eliminated, still no rebuttals though.
