  • They say that the WSOBP rules are designed with fairness for all players in mind. So why is leaning allowed? Tall mf-ers will be able to lean halfway across the table and it won't be fair. This rule needs to be changed. Who's with me?

Same advantage regardless of where the imaginary line is that you have to stand behind....think about it.  Also this topic has been discussed a number of times in other threads.  The bpong community has talked about this and we've covered about every single viewpoint you can have on this issue already.

  • yea im with everyone else thats gonna say its just easier to have leaning than not even if u put in a shooting line or an elbow rule or something that "tall m-fer" still has the same reach he had over u before

and no offense to the tall guys but ive seen "tall m-fers" lean to where their hand was at damn near the half way point of the table and i still shot better than they did

  • whats crazy is i went to a frat party last nite here at my college normally a breeding ground for bad pong rules and surprisingly they were playing pretty normal rules no cheap shit, basically did six cup (cause there was about 150 ppl there and only 3 tables) no re racks and no one gave a shit about leaning i dunno just pointing on that leaning not having elbow rules and shit is starting to catch on

  • Yeah this will happen every year as more people find out about the World Series and the rules.  Dude, I used to be against leaning, believe me I was all elbow rule.  But let me ask you this, have you played in a tournament with referees that watch you and give you a warningt literally everytime you shoot for coming close to the edge of the table.  It sucks.  While it appears that tall guys have an advantage, they still have to make cups.  With 10 cups, a person who knows what they are doing can beat a tall m'fer and if you're skilled enough, you will win.  So start practicing and call up Manute Bol to practice against and you'll see after you beat him, there's nothing to it.

    lean halfway across the table

The most over used argument in the history of the world!

After the Ravens game yesterday Jim and I played a bunch of random people.
This one girl called up and bitched the entire time about leaning and how she didn't need to "cheat" to make cups.
I played left handed, Jim right handed, and we beat them by 3 cups.
She didn't even come remotely close to hitting a cup the entire game, luckily her boyfriend wasn't an idiot so at least they hit some cups.
She certainly did prove her point though - haha.

  • we're all like broken records on this subject... so here's mine one more time

im 5ft 9inch, not very tall.  if somebody beats me it's not because they're tall, it's because i didn't hit cups - - it's that simple.
