But if you want to grow this "sport" and get the media attention it so richly deserves;  You need to get somebody better to handle website updates and media releases.

Oh no you didn't.  "Sport"?  We are professional athletes - how dare you disrespect us with those bullshit quotation marks!  Maybe BPONG just didn't really care about getting coverage on your "website" and "podcast."

I apologize ahead of time, BigHuni, for sounding like an ass here, but you asked for it (literally). Sucks what happened to you and your teammate but had you guys lost the game that you weren't supposed to play, would you be complaining about getting another game? I understand your momentum swung for the worse, but what do you expect B/S/D to do? Shit happens, and they did the best they could. It's over. Go play Ron and Pop a $50,000 cash game since had you not been screwed you'd've won the entire thing anyway.

I did challenge Pop to a $25,000 cash game and he wasn't man enough to take it!

dude, damiano.... earn your paycheck, and go help build some pacemakers or whatever you really do...

i think i am going to keep a tally for who makes more posts on the bpong message board in 2009... dam-O-nation or jeffbarnes... jeff maybe the reining champion poster, but i think dam is going to make a run at it this year

the over/under is at 910 posts for each of you... that is around 2.5 posts a day per person... taking under bets now only...

as an added bonus, i will also give 5 crisp dollar bills to whomever posts less (dam or jeff)

More unfair than having played an extra game, IMO, was when tpfeliz walked in the middle of our rebuttal shots past the refs and interrupted us for the loss.

Really?  Shit man, I am sorry (but not surprised) to hear that.  Don't know what Tom would start shit with you guys.  He was pretty ridiculously wasted at that point though, maybe he mistook you for Team Kobe, who probably would have deserved it but were already long since eliminated by that time.

Haha...Team Kobe deserves this because I said one or two things about how Nor Cal hasn't done anything in the World Series? That's all I did. I must have talked to 5 or 6 Nor Cal guys at the WS and everything was cool. We all know that this forum is a joke. Most of us found out that we had something in common, not liking you guys. I say a few things about Nor Cal and Stanford Beirut tries to fight me on Day 3. Tom gets kicked out 4 or 5 times, but everytime he gets back in...he goes straight for me. Ridiculous. What I said was a fact...Nor Cal hasn't proven anything at the WS, but I don't have anything against Nor Cal. I should have just directed it at you guys.  The East Coast talked a lot of shit leading up to World Series II and III, but now I think they give us the respect we earned in those World Series'. This year was a huge disapointment, not only for me, but for Southern California. We had a crap load of teams playing on Day 3 and we didn't come to play. We accept that, and we are going to come back next year stronger than ever. The "Where's the Westcoast" chants were devestating.

All in all, I had a great time this year. Each year I am lucky enough to hang out with some great people from SCBP, and am lucky enough to meet a lot of great people throughout the U.S. Even you guys up in the Northeast are pretty cool. Haha. Sure, we talk some shit, but off the table, we are all friends. That's what beer pong is all about, talking shit and making cups.

  • So I found this link while reading Deadspin.com earlier.  It links to another website with an article and some pics.  There is a picture of Rick Reilly from Espn.com and formerly of Sports Illustrated hanging out at the World Series.  Wondering if he's going to write an article on Espn.com about it?

Talked to Rick Reilly for a while on Day 1. He was awesome. His sons played in the WS and he is in the process of writing the article for espn.com and espn the mag. Should be out mid next week.

I know I'm kind of pissed that I have to wait another year to avenge my teams giant choke job.
