  • sorry... but the all ohio idea is weak.  play and see who you can beat.  i understand that everyone in the midwest recoginizes that michigan prob has the biggest travel group of the states (though indiania did pretty good once this spring) and that some of our teams are pretty darn good, but to exclude us is just lame.  besides that, winning a satellite doesn't guarantee that the winning team is going to vegas... there are several other expenses for which people have to come up with $ for, and it's my experience that a lot of pong players can't come up with that $.

cleveland is a 4 hour drive for me, one that i would def make for a wsobp satellite.  you're not going to fill a 64 team tournament of all ohio players... i'll put money on that.  therefore i would open it to everyone.  i think most people will learn that as you put on multiple tournaments, some will have a lot of players and some will only have a few - to stay in "business" you need to take as many teams as possible so that the revenues balance out over time; otherwise in the long run you'll lose money and stop having satellites - which no one wants.

  • I will talk to the owner of the bar tonight.  If he is down, we will open up the tournament to any and all teams that want to participate.  We are also thinking of having two tournaments that same day if we pull enough teams.  It won't be determined until we see how many teams show up and how many teams would be open to playing two tournaments that day.  Maybe that will draw more people to show up if you have two chances to win a trip but you would have to repay an entry fee to get into the second tournament.  Let me know what you guys think.

P.S. I also hope bizness and wianek are ohio residents so my partner and I can show them what elite competition is.  Cash games are also welcome.

I'm sorry to say I will not be there to give you my money. Hopefully, one day I will learn what this "elite" competition is though.

Poor guy doesnt know who u guys are....pretty sure wianek IS elite comptetion

Since when does placing top 100 in WSOBP and winning 2nd in AC count as elite? All ok

haha, well i played with a really crappy partner in the WS and i'll admit my game was not as good back then. it also didn't help i was in europe for the three weeks leading up to the WS and didn't get to shoot at all... but yes, i agree that barely placing top 100 in the WS is in Ron Hamilton terms embarrassing. even worse, i lost 2 cash games in a row to Barnes on day 2. i've had nightmares about it ever since.

  • Well me and Zach from Get Thirsty are planning on hosting Qualifiers in the Southern Ohio area to represent Southern Ohio Beer Pong. We would have open tournaments for anyone in the U.S. although I would like an Ohio only tournament to meet some other teams. I am also all about the Ohio vs. Michigan pong tournament during the game. Im sure we could find a kick ass bar in Columbus to host it.

  • Our satellite tournament in Ohio is now open to anyone in any state.  You have to email me or become an invited guest on facebook if you want to attend.  My email is hiSig1037@aol.com">PhiSig1037@aol.com.  Wade and I have decided not to go to Indiana this weekend.  I can't wait to see who shows up for this one.  Any Michigan team that shows up, we will discussing the Ohio vs. Michigan tournament on November 21st.  It can either be every match between a Michigan and Ohio team or two brackets, one filled with Ohio and one filled with Michigan and one winner from each side meets in the finals.  Let mek now which one is preferred.  I heard there is a $10,000 tournament in Chicago the day before so let me know if you guys are down to drive to Columbus the next day and play in that sort of tournament.  Next year we can hold a rematch in Ann Arbor.
