I will talk to the owner of the bar tonight.  If he is down, we will open up the tournament to any and all teams that want to participate.  We are also thinking of having two tournaments that same day if we pull enough teams.  It won't be determined until we see how many teams show up and how many teams would be open to playing two tournaments that day.  Maybe that will draw more people to show up if you have two chances to win a trip but you would have to repay an entry fee to get into the second tournament.  Let me know what you guys think.

  • We are going to have two tournaments on July 25th if we get enough teams that want to participate in the second tournament.  We really won't know until the day of the tournament because we won't have a set number of teams until then.  We will just have two signup sheets when you get here and if enough teams want to play in both we will have a second one.  I also think that the team that wins the first qualifier should not be able to participate in the second tournament.  Tell me your thoughts on that.  We are also going to provide the airfare to get to Vegas if we get 64 teams for the tournament.

  • Cleveland Hopkins Airport is about 10 minutes away from this bar and they have several hotels and motels.  That is probably the best place to stay for the night.  Check any of the travel websites and put in the airport and that should give you a pretty good listing.  If you want specific hotels, let me know and I will look into it for you and anyone else for that matter.  The Howard Johnson hotel at the airport is only $49 for the night of the 25th on Priceline.com

  • If you are allowed to enter our country, who am I to say you cannot play in the tournament.  Anyone in the world can play in the tournament if U.S. customs says its ok.

  • Now now lester  dont make me bring out some illinois teams, because we all know that michigan hasnt done shit in a long time there.  Last time was February when Dane and Joe won.  Lets see in Milwakuee an Ohio team place second and last tourney at Flounders Zach G won and they beat a michigan team!!!!!!!!!!!

That $10,000 chicago tournament is on Nov 21st, I am not doing anything for that (as of yet) but I am going to keep my eyes peeled.

Is there any website or mailing list to know about all the ohio tournaments?

  • We may not be able to play an Ohio vs. Michigan tournament on November 21st because of that Chicago $10k tournament.  Maybe we could move it to the weekend before on the 14th.  That weekend before would also be alot safer for any Michigan fan venturing down to the Columbus area.  We could also have something at a neutral site like Toledo because that would be in between the two locations.

  • You can sign up for the Ohio Satellite by going on facebook and looking up Ohio WSOBP V Satellite Qualifier or you can reach me directly at hiSig1037@aol.com">PhiSig1037@aol.com.  I can get you any information you need and even send you the flier so you can spread the word about the tournament.  We plan on having two qualifiers back to back so we can send two teams out to Vegas.  Illinois teams are welcome to come out to the tournament or any other state or even different countries for that matter.  We are hoping to get 64 teams out to the event so it should be a good time.  We also will not tolerate any bs antics like we heard were going on at the recent Indiana tournament.  If anyone tries to start anything, you will be ejected from the tournament without a refund.  Our main goal is to make sure everyone has a good time and is also a safe place to play.
